Change, whether it’s as small as altering your wardrobe or as significant as coping with loss, can be challenging, painful, and scary. Growing up, you might hear that others have it worse, but your feelings and experiences are valid and important, no matter how small they may seem to others.
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, person-centered, and culturally aware. As a biracial, LGBTQIA+ friendly therapist, I believe you are the master of your own experiences, and I am here to walk beside you, helping you learn how to manage your struggles.
I specialize in working with teens and preteens who are navigating the complexities of trauma. Whether you’re dealing with the aftermath of a traumatic event or struggling with ongoing challenges, I’m here to support you. Together, we can work towards understanding and navigating the trauma you’ve experienced, helping you build resilience and find a path to healing.
I look forward to supporting you on your journey to growth and empowerment.
Colleen is available for in-person sessions, offering personalized care and support in a comfortable, welcoming environment.

Meet Our Team
Colleen Sweeney, MA
Hi there! I'm Colleen Sweeney, MA and I understand how difficult it can be to speak up when life feels overwhelming. As a teen or preteen, asking for help can feel almost impossible. Sometimes it feels like you are totally alone in what you are feeling and going through. It takes incredible bravery to reach out, and I acknowledge that courage.
Maybe you don’t even want to talk about it, whatever "it" is—and that’s okay. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment where you feel comfortable exploring your thoughts and concerns.
